I understand that cancellations may feel uncomfortable, but I very much appreciate a cancellation over a no-show.

The following cancellation policy is in effect:

A full 24 hours notice is necessary for cancelling appointments. Clients are invited to log in to their account in the Jane online booking app and cancel online. If unable to do so online, please contact Jennifer directly per email at info@jennifermauritz.ca. Online cancellations can only be processed when made with more than 24 hours' notice

Cancellations made without 24 hours’ notice but prior to the start of the session incur a $50 late-cancellation fee.

No-shows or cancellations made after the start of the session incur the full fee.

Conflict of interest statement

I am committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services and support to individuals within the energy limiting diseases population. As part of my dedication to transparency and ethical practice, I am disclosing potential conflicts of interest that may arise due to my involvement in both a public health role and my private practice.

  1. Public Health Role: I am actively engaged in a public health position as Occupational Therapist within the Complex Chronic Diseases Program at BC Women’s Health Center. This role involves providing group interventions focused on self-management  for people with Fibromyalgia and ME/CFS.

  2. Private Practice: Additionally, I operate a private practice catering to clients within the same energy limiting diseases population. Services provided in my private practice include a tailored individual approach in a one to one setting.

  3. Potential Conflicts: Due to my involvement in both public health and private practice, there may be situations where my obligations or interests in one role could potentially affect my actions or recommendations in the other. This could include decisions related to referrals, resources, or treatment modalities.

  4. Conflict Management: It's important to note that if I am providing services to a client within my public health role, I will not engage in providing services to the same patient within my private practice. This protocol is in place to maintain professional boundaries and prevent conflicts of interest.

I am committed to upholding ethical standards, maintaining professional boundaries, and prioritizing the well-being and best interests of my clients across both roles.

If you have any questions, concerns, or require additional clarification regarding potential conflicts of interest, please feel free to contact me.
